Our New Neighbors


We want to tell you about our new neighbors.  First there is Mercy Health and Fitness Center with the following facitlities

  • Spacious fitness floor and exercise studios
  • State-of-the-art cardio, strength training machines and equipment
  • Indoor walking and jogging track
  • Lap swimming pool
  • Warm water physical therapy pool

And across the corridor from Brightside Kitchen's new cafe space, you will find professional guidance for weight loss and nutrition. 

We are excited to learn that Mercy's team will present free classes that are open to the public.  Mark your calendars for the following Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM:

January 23 - Cooking Demo: MIND Diet

February 13 - With a Healthy Heart the Beat Goes On 

February 27 - Cooking Demo: Plant Based Diet

March 13 - Tea Time! Taking a Look at the Health Benefits of Tea

March  27 - Cooking Demo: Cooking with Teas

By learning more about these classes, we discovered the MIND Diet. It is based on nutritional practices that researchers have found to sustain brain function as people age. While the diet is not 100% plant based, some whole food components of the diet include leafy greens, other vegetables, nuts, berries, beans, and whole grains. Many diets include whole food ingredients so no matter what diet you ultimately choose to follow, you can rely on Brightside Kitchen to have menu items that  are whole food plant based.
